cup whole black gram (sabut urad) soaked overnight

red kidney beans (rajma) soaked overnight

Process
- Boil sabut urad and rajma in four cups of water and salt. Cook for four whistle in pressure cooker or until rajma is completely soft.
- Heat butter and oil in pan add cumin seeds, cloves, black cardamom, and green cardamom. Now add ginger and garlic sauté them.
- Add onions and sauté them until onions become golden brown. Add green chili and tomatoes sauté until it become soft. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder.
- Add cooked dal and rajma along with water. Cook it for 10 minutes.
- Now add kasuri methi powder and coriander leaves for garnishing. Put some butter for smoothness.
- Dal makhni is ready to eat.
